Kiwi fruit or Chinese gooseberry is the edible berry of a woody vine in the genus Actinidia. It is a delicious berry of a woody, twining vine and is popularly known by its shortened version as ‘kiwi’. It is native to China and is referred to as the country’s national fruit. It has a fibrous, dull greenish-brown skin and bright green or golden flesh with rows of tiny, black, edible seeds.
