Details steps of how to grow and maintain your plant
Botanically known as Diospyros decandra, the Gold Fruit Plant is a tropical tree admired for its round, golden-yellow fruits that exude a sweet fragrance and delectable taste. The Gold Fruit tree typically grows as a medium-sized evergreen, reaching heights of up to 10 meters, with glossy, dark green leaves and small, fragrant white flowers. This is not a grafted but a seed plant so the yield time will be around 3 years.
Growing Tips:
-
Gold Fruit Plants thrive in well-drained, loamy soil with a pH range between 6.0 to 7.5. They prefer sunny locations with ample sunlight exposure.
-
Provide regular watering, especially during the growing season, to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged.
-
Prune the tree annually to remove dead or diseased branches, promote airflow, and maintain a desirable shape.
-
Apply organic fertilizer high in nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium during the growing season to promote healthy growth and fruit production.
-
Protect young Gold Fruit Plants from frost and cold temperatures by covering them with blankets or using frost protection methods.
