Russelia equisetiformis is a small evergreen shrub. It has thin green fleshy very ramified stems, which as they grow assume a prostrate posture, covered by small lanceolate, bright green leaves; when the climate is mild it is covered with a myriad of small bright orange tubular flowers, flowering begins in February and lasts until autumn, it is not uncommon for the plant to be in bloom all year round. The russelia equisetiformis prefers very bright locations, preferably in full sun or partial shade.

Prepare the pit (1x1feet) pot slightly bigger than current pot, remove the plants from the existing pot, then place the plant in the pit or pot and then fill it with a mixture of garden soil, compost, cocopeat, perlite, vermiculite, finally water thoroughly to your plants.
